3 Day Decoy Development Course
This 3-day course, instructed by Michael Graham and Scott Sharfman, provides an introduction to the theory and practical aspects of decoy and helper work in protection sports, personal protection, and police K9 work. With nearly two decades of combined experience, our instructors bring valuable expertise in dog behavior, handler instruction, and competition preparation.
Throughout the course, you’ll work directly with in-house dogs using the suit, sleeve, and hidden equipment. Watch as our instructors demonstrate each step in the decoy development process—from introducing puppies and adult green dogs to bite work, to preparing dogs for certifications and competition.
Our 18-acre training facility allows for exposure to advanced exercises like building searches and mock apprehensions, giving you a well-rounded experience in a short amount of time. The course is specifically curated to suit the experience level and goals of each group, ensuring a meaningful and engaging learning experience.
5 Day Decoy Development Course
This immersive 5-day course, led by Michael Graham and Scott Sharfman, delves deeper into the theory and practical components of decoy and helper work, focusing on protection sports, personal protection, and police K9 training. With nearly 20 years of combined experience, our instructors will guide you through the decoy development process, providing insights into the training of working dogs in various environments.
Over the course of five days, you’ll gain hands-on experience catching and working with dogs using a suit, sleeve, and hidden equipment. You’ll also have the unique opportunity to watch the entire progression from introducing puppies and adult green dogs to bite work, to preparing dogs for certifications and competition, all while participating in the training.
Our expansive 18-acre training facility offers access to advanced exercises such as building searches, mock apprehensions, and full protection sport trial scenarios, ensuring you leave with a comprehensive understanding of decoy work.
